Cannington Aerodrome Upgrade
| Role : | Electrical Superintendant/Project Manager |
| Duration: | November 2008 - April 2009 |
Description: |
BHP Cannington required a Compliance upgrade to the sites existing Aerodrome. This upgrade was crutial to managing onsite personell levels in order to maintain mine operation. During this time, EIPCM was contracted as the project management component of the project, managing Leighton electrical labour and subcontracted civil works. Compliance was required not only to the Australian Electrical Standards for electrcial installations but also to the Australian Aerodrome standards MOS 139. Major hurdles during this project were flooding of the site and the single access road to site which required managing labour to ensure a continuous work progress regardless of materials being available.
No lost time injuries were sustained during this project. |

Browns Oxide Copper/Nickel/Cobalt Mine and Process Plant
| Role : | Electrical Superintendant |
| Duration: | 7 Months |
Description: |
Browns Oxide Mine and Processing plant required additional Supervision during its construction. This site included an SX Plant that required Hazardous Area Instumentation. EIPCM is currently contracted to supervise Electrical labour/Electrical project management for the duration until completion and handover to the Client. Managing over 80 Electricians and Instrumenation Technicicans (some hazardous area trained) EIPCM is required to assure productive and time effective control on labour and materials required for timely completion. No lost time injuries have been sustained at Browns Oxide.
As of August 2008 EIPCM was requested to continue in the role of Engineering Liason on behalf of the client for the handover of the plant. |

Minara Resources H2S Plant Shutdown/Refurb
| Role : | Electrical Project Manager |
| Duration: | 3 Weeks |
Description: |
As part of the refining process on this site, they require H2S(hydrogen Sulphide). During their Major Shutdown in 2007, Minara planned for the H2S plant to be Overhauled and Brought back to operational Readiness. The area around and within the H2S plant is classed as a hazardous area meaning that it had a highly explosive/flammable atmosphere. The project involved isolation and removal of plant Electrical and Instrumentation equipment within the Hazardous area to enable removal of condenser stacks, to be replaced with newly fabricated stacks. While there were no major problems during the removal of equipment, there were concerns for items needing to be replaced due to nonconformity to hazardous area classifications. During the reinstallation process, nonconforming items were replaced with certified parts without extending the completion date. The H2S project was completed with no lost time injuries. |

LV37 Locomotive Project
| Role : | Electrical Project Manager |
| Duration: | 6 Months |
Description: |
The LV37 Locomotive project was a newly designed Diesel driven loco designed for Cross Australia heavy Transport. During the early stages of this project we were required to Modify testing equipment for the overall functionality of the drivers cab from previous designs. Engineering Instructions throughout the project to bring control wiring and mechanical aspects of the locomotives to latest Drawing specification was required and constant documentation modifications to ensure that the effective use of personnel and available parts was used to their full capabilities. Point to Point Testing, Functionality testing and electrical insulation testing were all documented as part of the quality assurance program. The LV37 project was completed with no lost time injuries. |
